'Super' quick cookery with Raffertie

In recent times Raffertie has been an extremely busy guy! Not only has he released on infamous/amazing UK label 'Planet Mu' but has also managed to find the time to start his own label, Super, which has it's launch night at the 'old blue last' (East London) on October 10th. I was intrigued to see what a man who is this disgustingly active eats when he was on the go! So here are two examples of quick food sent to me by Raffertie. I'm not promising culinary genius here folks.

recipe #1: Broccoli and Cauliflower - Boil enough water in the kettle to cover the broccoli and cauliflower. Once the kettle has boiled put the vegetables and water into a plastic microwaveable container, cover and then microwave for 5 minutes and there you have it! Perfectly cooked broccoli and cauliflower.

recipe #2: Couscous with pomegranate seeds - Soak the couscous in boiling water with a vegetable stock cube. I recommend making the stock separately with the boiling water, rather than just sprinkling a stock cube over the couscous and then adding water, otherwise parts of the couscous tends to be more flavoursome than others! once it's all soaked up squeeze half a lemon over the couscous, season with black pepper, stir, add some fresh coriander and some pomegranate seeds, stir and it's ready to serve. The recipe works just as well without the pomegranate seeds and you can stuff the couscous into peppers with chilli/paprika seasoned chicken and roast. yum
